HELLO EVERYBODY!!!!

My name is Ángela, I am 21 years old and I am Spanish. I live with my parents and my brother in Piedras Blancas (Asturias), a town near Avilés. I have lived in Piedras Blancas all my life. My mother’s name is Adelina, my father´s name is Manuel Bernardo, and my brother is called David. He is 24 years old, so he is three years older than me. We are very different, David is quiet, shy and a bit lazy, but I am quite the opposite, I am talkative, sociable, extrovert, and I can’t stop a minute, I am doing things all day.

When I’m not working I like going to the gym, cycling, going out with my friends, going to the cinema, dancing, and this year I have started to English class at The Official School of Languages in Avilés three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). At the end of the academic year I would like to go to London some days with two friends and practise English.

Almond Cake, by Raquel Paramá 2ºI-NI

Ingredients:
-Eggs
-Oil
-Sugar
-Marmalade
-Almonds
Separate the white of the egg from the yolk. Beat the egg whites stiff. Add the suggar slowly to the egg whites and to the yolks.
Then, mix everything and add a bit of lemon and the ground almond. When all these ingredients are mixed, pour them into a cake tin. The cake tin must have been greased.
Next, put the cake tin into the oven for an hour at 150 degrees.
Finally, let the cake cool down and cover it with marmalade and meringue

Tamara Pérez 1ºL-NI, personal profile

Hi!
My name's Tamara, I'm 24 and I'm from Avilés, a village near the Avilés estuary, which is an important industrial port. Although, I'm from Avilés, I haven't lived here all my life.

When I was a child, since 1985, I lived in San Ciprián, a beautiful village in Lugo (Galicia), and I have happy memories of those times. Three or four years later, we arrived to Avilés and we´ve have lived here since approximately 1987.

Nowadays, I'm studying engineering in Gijón and I hope to work soon. This is one of the reasons why I've been studying English for three months in the Official School of Languages.

As for my hobbies, I like sports, such as tennis, football and especially basketball. I've played it for nine years and now I've been teaching basketball in a school for two years to children who are about six or seven years old. I think that it is a good way to have a good time and cut yourself off.

In addition, I like going out with my friends and travelling, but I don´t have enough time to do it. I like music, almost all kinds of music, in my opinion music is a good way to express your feelings and your spirit!

And that's all, a little part of me!!

Il s’appelle Angel et il habite à Pillarno, un petit village près d’Aviles. Angel a quarante ans, il a étudié Geologie et il travaille depuis 1992 dans une usine de verre.
Parmi ses hobbys, il aime surtir avec ses amis, aller à la montagne, faire des promenades et jouer du tambour.

Je m’ apelle Raquel Cantero. J’ ai 27 ans, j’ habite à Avilés, je suis en train de déménager, je suis celibataire, j’ ai etudié tourisme ‘a Gijón, maintenant je travaile dans une agence de voyages, je suis allée á “Punta Cana” pour me reposser ce dernier été.
J’ ai un physique agréable. Mon peau est bronzé, mes cheveux sont chatains et long et mes yeux sont de la couleur des noisettes. Mes amis idsent que ma voix est douce.
Comme traits de caractère je suis sympa, comprensive, active, sincere, calme.

Salut! Je me présente. Je m´appelle Gloria, j´ai 40 ans. Mes loisirs sont sourtout la gastronomie, la cuisine et la musique pop, mais je n´ai pas du temps pour faire des choses tranquillement. J´aime aussi voyager avec mon mari.
